A message to the IEO team from Alexandra Dache

Alexandra Dache, coordinator of Academic Preparation for the Swiss Economics Olympiad, shares a message to Silvan Thut, Aline Leutwiler, Ana Van der Ree and Dario Ackermann who represented Switzerland at the International Economics Olympiad 2020.

Resilience and perseverance are traits that we as adults try to master. It is incredible to see such a mature and responsible group of students: they have dedicated a considerable amount of their time to learn new and challenging concepts to raise up to the expectations of the high, rigorous standards that an international Olympiad entails.

They have met and they have exceeded my high expectations during the training and they have raised up to the challenges of incorporating new concepts in unfamiliar circumstances all this in a fast learning pace. I am really proud to have worked with them and to be part of their journey to success. Learning is an ongoing experience and they seem to be on track for a great adventure. Congratulations!
